Recently Design + Conquer was charged with the fun challenge of designing a crown for the North Shore Mountain Bike Association's annual Julius Fromme mountain bike ride. The winner—Steve Mitchell (aka the Czar of Gnar)—rode down rock faces, muddy slopes, and slippery woodwork, all on his 1984 Ritchey hardtail (read: no suspension!). Here are some photos of our crown design process, and Steve's crazy amazing ride. A special thanks to Obsession Bikes for supplying the mountain bike innter tubes used in the design.
